NetIO exists because denial-of-service protection is still sold as an expensive appliance or an opaque subscription, priced in a way that punishes the customer precisely when they are under attack. We took a different route: write the filtering software ourselves, run it on ordinary servers, and quote the price up front.
That software now underpins two things. It is the engine behind the protection services we operate for our own customers — covering websites, individual servers and whole networks — and it is a licensed product for Internet service providers, hosting companies and data centres that would rather filter traffic inside their own perimeter.
Our focus is the customer the large global vendors treat as too small to bother with: the service provider that needs to protect a handful of prefixes, the hosting company whose customers are being attacked, the business whose site simply cannot afford to go down. They get the same engine, the same engineers and the same price list as everybody else.
We filter traffic on our own infrastructure and deliver clean traffic to our customers. Three connection models cover websites, individual servers and entire networks, with protected IPv4 and IPv6 addresses assigned to customers and BGP diversion available for operators with their own address space.

Reports sent to the abuse address are acknowledged and investigated by our operations team. Where a report is substantiated, we act on the service concerned — from filtering and rate limiting through to suspension of the account.
Every customer agreement includes an acceptable use policy that prohibits using our services or address space to conduct denial-of-service attacks, distribute malware, send unsolicited bulk email, or scan and probe third-party networks.
Law-enforcement enquiries should also be directed to the abuse address in the first instance, and will be routed to the appropriate contact.
